Our guitar repair department has an exceptional reputation for its expertise and meticulous attention to detail.  Below is a list of prices for the most common repairs and custom work.  Please note that the prices listed are labor charges only and do not include strings or parts.

All repairs over $299 require a 50% deposit.

 

Re-string

• 6 String Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Banjo - $29

• 12 String - $39

• Mandolin - $39

• Floating Tremolo (e.g., Floyd Rose/Kahler) - $39

• Rickenbacker 12 String - $49

• Partial Restring - $5.99 per string

Setup* - Our setups include everything the way it should be.   We go from top to bottom to make sure your guitar is playing right.   We don't play games with different levels of setups.   We just do it right.   Our setups include nut, saddle, truss and intonation adjustments.  We clean and oil the fretboard, polish the frets, and buff the fingerboard. We tighten all hardware and perform a full electronics check and cleaning.  We, of course, restring the instrument as well.  (Strings are not included)*

Bridges

• Bridge Re-glue - $219

Fret Re-dress - includes leveling/recrowning of all frets - Fret Level will require a setup additionally.

Acoustic Guitar Pickup Installation*

• Under saddle or bridgeplate mount - $159

• Soundhole Pickup (e.g., Rare Earth, M1) - $79

• Blending / Dual Source Pickups - $189

• Onboard preamp - $249

Electric Wiring *

• Pickups on Fender or Gibson style solid body - $69 each

• Replace pots - $59 each 

• Replace jack on solid body - $39

• Replace Switch - $49 - 89

• Archtop wiring - Cost determined case by case.

• Repair and replace someone else's mess or your own mess -  I will no longer trouble shoot work that is incomprehensible.  A complete re-wire wii be done in this situation - $159 - $229

Pickguard

• Remove and replace Martin style - $159

• Custom Guard - $100 +

• Install Clear Guard (pre-cut) - $39

• Install pre-cut tortoiseshell / opaque gaurd - $39

• Replace Strat-style pickguard - $59

 

Replace Tuning Machines - $59 - $79

(restring labor & tuners not included)

 

Install Strap Button - $19 (strap buttons are additional)

 

Inlay Fretboard Side Dot - $35 for 1st dot, $15 for each additional dot

 

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Additional Services are quoted on a per hour basis.   Our hourly charge is $89 an hour and is non-negotiable.   Major repairs and finish work takes time to be done right. 

 

Detailed Cleaning – All detail cleaning, finish buffing, hardware cleaning costs are determined on a case by case basis.

  

Finish Repair – We offer finish touch-up and selective re-finishing (e.g., necks).  All finish work is accepted and quoted on a case by case basis. 

 

Restringing Lessons – If you need a little help with that first restring, you can call on us! This service is available by appointment only with the sales staff.  $20 plus re-string fee and strings.  

 

Packaging Guitars for Shipment – We routinely ship guitars, and we are happy to package your guitar for shipment.  Our professional packing service includes the box and packaging materials ($15 separately).  For liability reasons, we cannot ship your guitar. $35 box and packaging included

 

Custom/Specialized Repairs – We are always happy to evaluate instruments for repairs that are more specialized (e.g., neck re-contouring, left hand conversions, etc.).  We accept this sort of work on a case by case basis, and we will decline any repair work where we do not think we can achieve best results.
